Character
A long forested thru-hike on KČT-waymarked paths: sandstone rock towns, border-range ridgelines and a different mountain range every week, with no technical passages.

A thousand kilometres along the Czech northern border: from the country's westernmost point to its easternmost, across every major border mountain range.
The northern branch of Stezka Českem links the Ore Mountains, Bohemian Switzerland, the Jizera Mountains, the Giant Mountains, Jeseníky and Beskydy into one long thru-hike on KČT-waymarked paths. Thanks to the dense rail and bus network it can be walked in one push or in sections — and that accessibility makes it the most practical long trail in Central Europe.
Quick orientation of the route line, start, end and elevation profile.

The cheapest big thru-hike in the region: campsites, guesthouses and pubs along the way, no mandatory bookings. Costs rise mainly in the tourist hotspots (Giant Mountains, Bohemian Switzerland).
April to October; the Giant Mountains and Jeseníky ridges can hold snow into May, summer is the most reliable, autumn the most colourful.

Hikers who want their first really long trail without a flight, with a rail escape route available almost anywhere.
40-55 days in one push at 20-25 km per day; the route naturally splits into 10 sections by mountain range that also work as standalone week-long treks.
Both ends are reachable by train and bus (Aš region, Jablunkov region) and the route crosses railways dozens of times — the simplest logistics of any big European trail.
Shops and pubs almost daily; bigger resupply in the towns below the mountains (Děčín, Liberec, Trutnov, Jeseník).
No permits; wild camping is banned in the national parks (Bohemian Switzerland, Giant Mountains) — plan nights at campsites and official spots.
