Legal information
Privacy policy
Effective from 1 June 2026
1. Data controller
The data controller is the operator of Trailio.app (hereafter “Trailio”), contact email: contact@trailio.app.
2. What personal data we process
We process exclusively the email address you voluntarily enter into the newsletter sign-up form. We do not request or process other personal data (name, address, phone number).
When you visit the site, technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be automatically recorded by the hosting platform Vercel. This data is used solely for the operation and security of the site.
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic — but it only runs after you give consent in the cookie banner. Without consent, no analytics cookies are stored and no measurement takes place. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
3. Purpose and legal basis for processing
The email address is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the purpose of sending the Trailio newsletter — information about new treks, sources and planning tips.
Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time by emailing contact@trailio.app. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. How long we retain data
We retain your email address for as long as your consent remains in force, up to a maximum of 3 years from sign-up, or until consent is withdrawn.
5. Recipients and data processors
We use the following processors to operate Trailio:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting (USA, Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Supabase Inc. — database, email address storage (EU region).
- Resend Inc. — newsletter email delivery.
- Google LLC — traffic measurement (Google Analytics), only after consent given in the cookie banner.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Your rights
As a data subject you have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- rectification of inaccurate data,
- erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”),
- restriction of processing,
- data portability,
- withdraw consent to processing at any time.
You can exercise your rights by emailing contact@trailio.app. We will respond without undue delay, within 30 days at most.
7. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date.
